Day 1: Journey to Ulgii and Meet the Eagle Hunters

We'll start our adventure by flying to the far reaches of western Mongolia, specifically Ulgii City. From there, we'll drive 60 km to the encampment of a family of eagle hunters, gaining firsthand insight into their nomadic lifestyle and traditional hunting practices. Witness the extraordinary bond between human and bird of prey as you observe the eagle hunting techniques.

Day 2: The Opening of the Eagle Festival

Begin your day with a drive to the festival grounds where the Eagle Festival kicks off. Join 40 other eagle hunters in the opening ceremony, absorbing the rich culture through local food and performances.

Day 3: Immerse Yourself in the Eagle Festival

Today, fully immerse yourself in the festival events that highlight the impressive eagle hunting skills. Participate in a variety of traditional games and activities. Take a break from the excitement to enjoy a picnic lunch amid the stunning natural landscapes. Conclude the day by experiencing a traditional Kazakh ceremony that further explores the art of eagle hunting.

Day 4: Return to the Eagle Hunter's Family

Post-breakfast, we head back to the eagle hunter family's residence. Delve deeper into their nomadic lifestyle, the intricacies of eagle hunting, and their harmonious coexistence with animals. Capture the moment with remarkable photos featuring eagles and their handlers. As evening falls, share in a traditional Mongolian feast and engage in enriching conversations.

Day 5: Farewell and Return to Ulaanbaatar

We will fly back to Ulaanbaatar. Arrival in town and transfer to your hotel or hostel where you can rest a few moments.

Rest of the day free. With our guide, you can go and shop in the centre of the city (B+L)
