Ulaanbaatar winter flights from Asia are taking shape for 2026/27. Hunnu Air has filed a new weekly Ulaanbaatar–Shenzhen route from 22 October 2026 at the earliest, Air China puts its COMAC C919 on the Beijing–Ulaanbaatar route from 26 October 2026, and MIAT Mongolian Airlines plans twice-weekly Ulaanbaatar–Singapore flights from 15 December 2026 to 17 January 2027. All three come from airline schedule filings reported by AeroRoutes, so confirm with the airline before you book.

Which new Ulaanbaatar winter flights have been announced?

Three changes stand out for travellers coming from Asia this winter: a new Shenzhen route, a new aircraft type on the Beijing route, and the return of a seasonal Singapore service.

None of them has a press release on the airlines' own websites yet. When we checked on 19 October 2026, the Hunnu Air homepage did not list Shenzhen, and the MIAT homepage showed only a Frankfurt schedule notice for 2–23 October 2026. We report the filings because they are the best published information, and we will update this post when the airlines announce them.

When does the Ulaanbaatar–Shenzhen flight start?

Hunnu Air's Ulaanbaatar–Shenzhen route is filed to start no earlier than 22 October 2026, once a week, on an Embraer E195-E1. AeroRoutes reported on 16 October 2026 that flight MR867 leaves Ulaanbaatar at 23:05 and reaches Shenzhen at 03:05 the next day, and MR868 leaves Shenzhen at 04:05 and lands in Ulaanbaatar at 08:05.

The start date has already moved once. An earlier AeroRoutes report (29 September 2026) listed only the Shenzhen–Ulaanbaatar leg from 1 October 2026. Travel And Tour World also reported a 1 October start at the time. The latest filing is the one to plan around, but treat it as provisional until tickets are on sale.

For readers in Hong Kong and southern China, this is the first nonstop link we have seen between Ulaanbaatar and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport.

What changes on the Beijing–Ulaanbaatar route?

From 26 October 2026, Air China flies the Chinese-built COMAC C919 on flights CA901/902 between Beijing Capital and Ulaanbaatar. AeroRoutes reported on 16 October 2026 that the C919 covers seven of the route's 11 to 14 weekly flights this winter.

CA901 leaves Beijing at 08:10 or 08:25, depending on the day, and arrives in Ulaanbaatar at 10:40. CA902 returns at 11:50. A second pair of flights, CA955/956 on a Boeing 737-800, runs daily from 15 December 2026 to 31 January 2027, which covers the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Is MIAT flying Ulaanbaatar–Singapore this winter?

Yes. MIAT Mongolian Airlines plans a seasonal Ulaanbaatar–Singapore service twice a week from 15 December 2026 to 17 January 2027, on a Boeing 767-300ER. AeroRoutes reported on 29 September 2026 that the season is shorter than before.

The filed times are OM1723 from Ulaanbaatar at 09:30, arriving in Singapore at 16:55, and OM1724 from Singapore at 19:25, landing in Ulaanbaatar at 02:55 the next morning. That late arrival matters: book an airport transfer and your first hotel night in advance.

Macau SAR passports get up to 90 days.

  • Singapore: the MIAT seasonal flights fit a 4- to 7-day year-end trip; see our Singapore to Mongolia page.

  • Hong Kong: compare the new Shenzhen route with connections via Beijing; our Hong Kong to Mongolia travel guide covers planning.

  • Malaysia and Japan: we found no new direct winter service from Kuala Lumpur or Tokyo in today's sources, so check the airlines directly.
