This trip will let you experience horse riding and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Eight Lakes, Mount Khogno Khan Nature Reserve and the dunes nearby called “Elsen Tasarkhai”, learn about Buddhism and the history of Mongolia. Furthermore, You will be able to experience the typical nomadic family lifestyle.
      Day 1. Erdenezuu and the Kharakhorum
The Kharakhorum was established in 1220 and was the capital city of the Great Mongolian Empire. Chinggis Khaan and his descendant Khaan Ugudei, Guyug, and Munkh lived here ruling the empire. Soldiers of the Chinese Ming Dynasty destroyed the town in the 14th Century. The ruins of Karakorum have been protected since 1961 and was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. Once we reach there, we will visit the “Erdenezuu” monastery to discover tombs, a temple, and a real Buddhist temple. After that, we will visit the Wall of the Mongolian Empire to learn information.

     Day 2. Ulaan tsutgalan waterfall
We will drive to the Ulaan Tsutgalan Waterfall; it is on the Ulaan River flows through volcanic basalt rocks formed by a unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes around twenty thousand years ago. The Waterfall cascades from an impressive height over 20 meters with a width around 10 meters and extends for 100 meters of the Orkhon River.

     Day 3. Eight lakes horse trekking tour
The Khuisiin Naiman Nuur, known as “Eight Lakes,” with an over 116 square km area, it protected as a natural monument since 1992. The lakes of Naiman Nuur lie at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. In this area, red deer, wild Argali sheep, Siberian ibex, musk deer, wild boar, duck, and other birds are living. In the morning, we will prepare the horses, staff that we need for the trip while you are having breakfast. Then we will start horseback tour to the eight lake tour. This day, we will stop “Bodongiin Am” as local calls and cook traditional food and stay overnight there.

     Day 4. Eight lakes horse trekking tour
The third day, we will reach the nomadic family in the bank of the lake. We stay overnight next to the family, and we will visit them, and we can also help them. During that day, you will find the area red deer, wild Argali sheep, Siberian ibex, musk deer, wild boar, duck, and other birds. Explore flora and fauna of the valley.

     Day 5. Eight lakes horse trekking tour
After breakfast, we will pack all the luggage on the horse, and we start the trip back to “Orkhon” Valley. We will pass the high Mountain forest and see two lakes.

     Day 6. Ulaan tsutgalan waterfall
After the long horse trekking tour, we will stay one day here Waterfall to refresh ourselves for the next days. This day, we will cook traditional Mongolian Barbeque or dumplings for you. In the evening, we will play traditional Mongolian game Shagai, Khuruu and cards playing while having a Mongolian beer etc.

     Day 7. Khugnu Khaan Natural Reserve
We will drive to the mountain “Khogno Khan” Nature Reserve. Once you reach the mountain, you will arrive at a nomadic family yurt in front of this beautiful forested rocky mountains. A mountain is a place of hundreds of birds, deer and gazelle. After we will go hiking around the area or to the small dunes nearby called “Elsen Tasarkhai”.

     Day 8. Khustai National Park
We will drive to Khustai National Park to see Mongolian wild horses, Przewalski which were re-introduced back to its home and in 1993. Moreover, turn southwesterly along the Tuul River and its riverine forest meadows. At the park first, you will visit the Park museum and conference hall. Then we will discover the Takhi, the Asian wild horse. If you have luck, see the wolf, argali sheep, and deer as well.
