Most visitors do not need a visa for Mongolia in 2026: citizens of 34 countries — including the UK, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand — can stay visa-free for up to 30 days, US citizens for up to 90 days, and German, Japanese, Singaporean and Malaysian citizens for up to 30 days. Most other nationalities can apply online for a Mongolian e-visa instead of visiting an embassy.

No. US passport holders can visit Mongolia visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism, thanks to a long-standing bilateral agreement. If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, register with Mongolian Immigration within 30 days of arrival.
