According to the President's Press Department, Pope Francis, the Head of the Holy See, has accepted an invitation from President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa of Mongolia to embark on a State Visit from August 30 to September 4. This historical visit will mark the Pope's first-ever visit to Mongolia, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Holy See.
Furthermore, Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Secretary for Relations with States within the Holy See's Secretariat of State, is presently engaged in an Official Visit to Mongolia. Invited by Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg, this high-level visit, taking place from June 4-8, aims to foster bilateral relations, enhance cooperation, and address international matters of shared interest. Notably, this visit by Archbishop Gallagher is also the first of its kind from the Holy See to Mongolia.
