Zorgol Khairkhan is a sacred granite mountain rising from the steppe about 150 km south of Ulaanbaatar, in Tuv Province, Mongolia. Famous for its sleeping-fawn shape, mineral springs, caves and wildlife, it is one of the easiest wilderness day trips from the capital.

Located 150 km from the capital, Ulaanbaatar, "Zorgol Khairkhan" is one of the most popular places to hike in Mongolia due to its unique geological formation and picturesque nature.

It has a red, granite texture blended with scenic greenery, formed through millennia. The mountain has a unique shape of a sleeping fawn. According to an ancient legend, a mother elk had turned her fawn into a stone to hide from a wolf whenever she ventured out for food. Once she was back, she always recovered the fawn from the stone. However, on one occasion, a crow cast its shadow over the stone while flying over. Sadly, the elk was never able to recover her fawn after that, and the stone has become "Zorgol Khairkhan".

"Zorgol Khairkhan" is home to several natural water springs called "Rashaan" in the Mongolian language. Due to coming from deep underground, the water is rich in minerals, and local Mongolian people drink it regularly for its health benefits. It also has two large caves and one small cave. Exotic animals such as the "Argali" Mongolian wild sheep, wolf, Alpine ibex, and Red deer inhabit these caves during the harsh Mongolian winters.

The mountain is worshipped by locals. There are several burial sites of ancient Mongol soldiers around this mountain.
