The number of tourist:2 Tour guide: Aznemekh Tour driver: Ganbold Our tour started from Ulaanbaatar city, Mongolia. We travelled around areas of Tuv, Bulgan and Uvurkhangai provinces. Our destinations were Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes, Erdenezuu monastery, Kharkhorin museum and Khustai National Park. During the tour, it was smoky because of Siberian forest fire. Although our tour was amazing. Day 1: Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes First we picked up our tourists from thier home at 8:30. After meeting, we headed to Elsen tasarkhai sand dunes and Khogno khaan mountain. This destination offers stunning nature. Elsen tasarkhai stretchs along the Tuv, Bulgan and Uvurkhangai provinces. It's totally 80 km long. In the north of sand dunes, there is rocky woody mountain khogno khaan that is one of the legendary mountains in the history of Mongolia. It's rich in wild animals as well as many historical items. There you can have opportunity to see Gobi & Khangai together. As soon as we reached sand dunes, we took some photos. Then we arrived our camp and visited Mongolian nomadic family lives on the hill where sand dunes are seen wholly. They treated us Airag / fermented mare's milk/. They are very hospitable. After lunch our tourists did camel riding through sand dunes for one hour. After that, we explored Erdenekhamba temple ruins. There surrounding nature is extraordinary. While cooking dinner, we played basketball and tried to milk cows. after dinner, we saw sunset. Before we sleep, we played with anklebones such as horse racing and anklebone shooting. It was competitive and pleasant. DAY 2: Erdenezuu monatery and Kharkhorin museum At 8:30 we had breakfast. Then we drove to next destinations. They are located in area of the 1st capital of Mongol Empire /Kharkhorum/. Erdenezuu monastery is famous for its ancient temple, architecture, unique museum with rare exhibits and as historical site. It was regitered in " Heritage of Mongolia " by UNESCO. The wall surrounding the monastery is topped by 108 stupas. There we watched monks chanting mantras for people's future good life. Also we had a monk chant mantra. Our next point was kharkhorin museum. It is beautifully designed and well displayed. It has plenty of exhibits. It includes the history of Orkhon River valley as well as archaelogical research and discovered artefacts. On the way back, we had lunch on the bank of river. after reaching our camp, we did hiking a little bit. While cooking dinner, our tourists rode horses for an hour. They really really enjoy it. We ate one of Mongolian traditional food Khuushuur for dinner. In the evening they taught anklebone games just learnt to some tourists came to the camp. Day3: Khustai National Park After breakfast, we headed to khustai at 10:00 to see Takhi. Takhi was never tamed in the 1st place and hence remains the original wild horses. In between 1992-2001 Wild horse known as Takhi was reintroduced from Holland into Khustai National park. On the way we had lunch. First we watched a movie about khustai and Takhi at Khustai national park. We were lucky that's why we could watch some wild horses. Moreover we saq some animals such as deer, marmot, ground squirrel. Then we went back to Ulaanbaatar. For 3 days We explored some of Mongolian wonders. Our tour was adventurous and unforgettable.
